The Advanced Fisheries Intelligence Training

The recent Advanced Fisheries Intelligence Training, held from February 20th to 23rd, 2024, at the Pullman Hotel Bali, was pivotal in combating Illegal, Unreported, and Unregulated (IUU) Fishing. With notable figures like Mr. M. Eko Rudianto and Mr. Handoko Adi Susanto in attendance, it fostered collaboration to safeguard marine ecosystems.

Representatives from Indonesia’s Directorate for Handling Violations and various PSDKP stations explored intelligence methodologies for analyzing fisheries data. Insights from experts like Damian Johnson and Sam McGovern added depth. The event concluded with talks on future collaborations, including a proposed partnership between RPOA-IUU Secretariat and Fisheries and Oceans Canada, promising progress against IUU Fishing.
